Innovative and comprehensive design packages for marching bands

On The Move Productions’ mission is to offer fully coordinated programs to marching ensembles interested in maximizing the potential for each member in the band from a educational and performance standpoint.

Philosophy

Marching band shows should be designed to entertain and to showcase excellence.  On the Move will create productions with the “end in mind” to ensure a quality product. Along with a fully coordinated program we will provide opportunities for achievement through personalized training recommendations and instructional materials to ensure a marching band experience that is as educational as it entertaining.

Director’s Dilemma

Marching band is often seen as the antithesis of concert season due to many issues.  Due to the nature of a marching performance several more elements are needed to created a fully coordinated an aesthetically pleasing marching band production.  When a band program attempts to coordinate music, drill, color guard many times the effect of the show is lost in the confusion.  Teaching becomes more difficult as stress builds and directors, staff, and students alike become more exasperated with trying to make a product successful meanwhile most of what is truly being fought is the basic design of the show.

Solution

By taking into account the strengths of an ensemble, it’s goals for development, and by tailor fitting the program to the director and staff On The Move offers a program that sets a band up for success from preseason through the final performance.  In addition to a customized program the director and staff are given the tools that they need to educate in the most efficient and pedagogically appropriate way.
